DIARY

Wednesday 24th April

LIFE GROUPS - Various venues around Rainhill

This week we are meeting in our LIFE Groups in various homes around Rainhill. These LIFE groups are an opportunity for us to meet up during the week  in smaller groups to get to know each other better. We also take some time to look again at the teaching from the previous Sunday and its practical application to our lives. If you’s like to join a group contact our Pastor Will.

Saturday 27th April

9:30am - CHURCH CLEAN UP DAY!

Meet at the Church from 9:30am-12:30pm. If you are a ministry leader or you have things stored at the church in cupboards etc this is your chance to get rid of those things which are clogging up the space! We are getting quite short of storage space at Church, so could we ask that we only keep those things which are essential for each group! We will be hoping to give the church a good “spring-clean” so we would ask as many of you as are able to come and help out - even if it’s just for part of the morning - it would be much appreciated!

Sunday 28th April

10:30am - Sunday Morning Worship

This coming Sunday our Pastor Will is continuing our series looking at the Old Testament Book of Ruth - This week its Chapter 4 - “God’s Big Picture!” The account of Ruth, Naomi & Boaz is an amazing story of a family who experienced tragedy and loss but found redemption in an unlikely form. It’s also tells the wonderful story of how God is present in all the seemingly endless twists and turns of our lives and has been working his greater purpose out through it all. Why not read through the book to familiarise yourself with this amazing story before you come on Sunday?

12:noon - CHURCH SUNDAY LUNCH!

As it’s the last Sunday in the month we’ll be staying together after Church this Sunday morning to share Lunch together. As usual it will be a “Bring & Share” lunch - bring something sweet or savoury - or both if you like! We place everything on the table and then we share together whatever God has provided for us!. It’s a great chance to spend a bit of extra time with each other on the Lord's day. Everyone is welcome! We hope you can join us!

6:30pm - Evening Service

This Sunday evening we continue our series “Signposts to Jesus” taking a look at the seven “Signs” John used in his gospel which help us understand who Jesus is.This week we’ll look at the fourth of these signs: “Jesus feeds 5000 people! ” from John 6:1-13.

Tuesday 29th April

9:30am - Mum’s & Toddlers

Pray for Shelagh and her team in this important ministry to our community.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Welcome!

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details below) for our Sunday Service starting at 10.30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team who will show you to your seats.

Plan your journey:

Open Google Maps

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There are disabled toilets in the main foyer.

Our Service

The main service begins at 10.30 am with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of sung worship, led by our musicians. We typically have 2 or 3 songs lasting approximately 15 minutes. At this point we try to engage the whole family as we introduce the morning's theme. After this we'll share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church. Our Pastor will then read and explain a bible passage to us in a way that we can apply to our everyday life. We then finish with a final worship song. After the service there’s usually tea & coffee available.

Children’s ministry

Children will stay with their parent or carers at the start of the service - there is a Creche for the very young ones. We really do value and encourage worshipping God all together as a family. At the end of the notices someone will announce that it’s time for the younger members to go to their group. At this point the children will leave and enjoy a programme especially for them.

The children's activities vary depending on the age but usually there is a friendly welcome, bible stories, prayer, music, craft, drama, fun games and free play. The children then usually come back in at the end of the service to tell us all what they’ve been up to!

Getting Connected

Life Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our Life groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have groups that meet throughout the week at different times. Check out Life Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.

Other Ministries

We also run the following ministries:

  • Men's Ministries
  • Women's Ministries
  • Toddlers Group
